Sin and Salvation are wrestled with by anyone looking to Christ for the answer.
“That men should live without Christ is grief enough. But that they should die without Christ is an overwhelming horror, which should grind our hearts to powder before God and make us fall on our faces and cry, ‘O God, have mercy upon them and save them, for thy grace and love’s sake!’ The deepest tenderness, it may be, some of us have yet to learn.” — Charles H. Spurgeon. We at Found Right.org want you to know it is a wrestle to struggle with sin and not believe that Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to put an end to sin in your life. It is crystal clear from this scripture as well as many other scriptures that sin is one of the works of the devil. And it was for this VERY purpose that Jesus came into the world as the Son of man to destroy sin.1st John 3:8 that reads,
“He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might DESTROY the works of the devil.”
Jesus Christ is our Saviour because He saves us from sin, radically altering the ruling disposition. Anyone who has been in contact with the Lord when He alters the ruling disposition knows it, and so do others. But there is a painful, tremendous repentance first. The whole teaching of the Bible on the human side is based on repentance. The only repentant man is the holy man, and the only holy man is the one who has been made so by the marvel of the reconciliation or an instance of reconciliation between God and humans. Not being reconciled to the fact of sin— not recognizing it and refusing to deal with it— produces all the disasters in life. “The center of salvation is the Cross of Jesus, and the reason it is so easy to obtain salvation is because it cost God so much. The Cross is the point where God and sinful man merge with a crash and the way to life is opened – but the crash is on the heart of God.”
