Fear is not Forget Everything And Run but it seems to be that when one wants to open the bible. It was hard for me at 27 to open the book daily. I wrestled with why do I need this book to have a good life. If you have faced this bible opening fear. The evil one (the devil) does not want anyone to know the word of God because that can make him powerless and meaningless.
But Jesus said “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart” (Matthew 13:19). The devil does not want any of the good things of love in the bible to be deposit in your mind for future use.
The Good news is in the Bible. The Devil does not want us to read it. Because
“Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2nd Cor 4:4” I am thankful to veil has been lifted over me. I truly want to open the bible more and you have to have strength to open it since “We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” 1st John 5:19
The word of God breaks the power of darkness in your life. When you get over the fear the bible will give you a new perspective in to your problems. Anxiety leaves!!! You will begin to see God in a new light. I know he has spoke to me many times to show himself. I am thankful for this because it allows me to refocus on knowing God which is the most important thing. Having immersed myself in the word in the morning. I feel I make better choices through out the day.
Even though I am going through a great many trials in my career path at the moment. I am trusting and believing of his plans for my life.
So don’t fear opening the bible because the grass wither and flowers fade but the word of God stands forever.
